The Chess Master Staunton features a 3.0" King with a double weighted 1.25" base and
leather bottoms. Ebony is the most traditional and striking wood for chess sets.  Although
commonly thought to be pure black, ebony actually has a very subtle and beautiful
wood grain. All opposing chess pieces are crafted from high quality Boxwood.
